Privacy notice
This notice explains what we do with your personal data when you use The Reset. It is written in plain language.

Who we are

What we collect, and why
When you send a price request. Your name, email address, telephone number if you give one, the hotel and dates you asked about, the number of guests and rooms, the board arrangement you chose, any interests you selected and any notes you wrote. We use this to compose the message you send to the hotel, and to keep a record so we can follow up with you and see whether the hotel replied. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service, and in understanding whether enquiries lead to stays.
When you join the mailing list. Your email address only. Lawful basis: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
When you browse. Basic technical information such as the page you were on and the site that referred you. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
Your preferences and your kept list. If you set preferences or keep a place on your list, that information is stored by your own browser on your own device. It is not sent to us, we hold no copy of it, and we cannot see it. It reaches a hotel only inside a price request that you compose and send yourself. Clearing your browser storage, or using Forget everything on the preferences page, erases it. There is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, any health information, payment card details or identity documents. The free-text note on the preferences page is there for ordinary hospitality requests such as a quiet table or a dietary preference; please keep medical detail for the hotel directly.
Who else sees it
The message you compose is sent by you, from your own email account or through the hotel's own form, directly to the hotel. The Reset is copied on it where you use the email route. From that point the hotel is an independent controller of your data and handles it under its own privacy policy.
We use service providers to host this site and to receive and store enquiry records. They process data on our instructions under written terms. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Where it goes
Our providers may process data outside the United Kingdom and European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers are covered by an adequacy decision or by Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept for [24] months from the date of the enquiry, then deleted. Mailing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe. [Confirm these periods with your adviser and adjust.]
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of your data; to have it corrected or deleted; to object to or restrict our processing of it; to receive it in a portable form; and, where we rely on consent, to withdraw that consent. Write to info@theresettravel.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local supervisory authority in the EEA.
