A Georgian estate an hour from London where the daily farm tour and afternoon tea come with the room.
A Georgian estate an hour from London, two Michelin Keys, and a kitchen with a Michelin Green Star. Forty-five rooms plus cottages, and a working biodynamic farm behind it.
The Bothy is seventeen thousand square feet, opened in 2023, and the pool is the piece people talk about: nineteen metres, chlorine-free, lined with around thirty thousand handmade terracotta tiles. There is an alfresco hydrotherapy pool outside and a sauna with a glass wall onto farmland.
Breakfast for two is included, as is afternoon tea and cake and a daily guided tour of the estate. Walking trails, lake boating, fishing, wild swimming and bike rides. The Assembly programme runs guided walks, foraging and workshops. Valet parking is complimentary; a ten per cent service charge is not included.

45 rooms and suites in all. 6 categories from the hotel's own pages, in the order it lists them — see their own page ↗. Heckfield publishes no occupancy anywhere on its site, and the sizes are ranges for the category rather than for a particular room.
Compiled from the hotel's own published pages where available, otherwise from trade and press sources, correct as at September 2026. Anything marked "not published" is something the hotel does not state — we would rather tell you that than guess. The image above is a generated illustration, not a photograph of the property.
